MLS side LA Galaxy have submitted a bid for Aston Villa defender Joleon Lescott, according to Sky Sports.
The Villa star has endured a miserable campaign with his boyhood club, as the Midlands giants find themselves rooted to the bottom of the Premier League.
Galaxy are said to have offered the former England international a three-year deal in an effort to lure him stateside.
The MLS club boast former Premier League stars Robbie Keane and Steven Gerrard in their ranks and are understood to be eager to reshape their defence as Omar Gonzales joined Mexican outfit Pachuca.
Despite only moving to Villa Park in the summer, after a £2m switch from West Bromwich Albion, the 33-year old could be set to leave already.
He is a vastly experienced defender having amassed a wealth of experience in both the Premier League and national team setup.
The former Wolves, Everton and Manchester City has won the Premier League while with the latter and been capped 26 times by the Three Lions.
